Friday Eclectic Comp at Ubolrat 5th July 2013

Most enjoyable day at Ubolrat where we kicked off our July Eclectic round in perfect conditions.

Green fees including caddie fee only 350 baht as it is now low season although the perfect weather suggested anything but that. Ten of us teed off including our guest Rex who hopefully will join us in later rounds. A few could not attend, in particular, Per with dengue fever and Harry and John Ward injured.

Results.

Closest to the Pin Winners- Graham Firth and John McMorris.

1st 6 hole Winner Bill Toyn 12 points

2nd " Graham Firth 16 points

3rd " John Cooke 14 points

Overall Winner Graham Firth 39 points

Second Place Terry Aston on count back over Trevor Edge with both recording 37 points.

There were some good scores aside from the winners suggesting that our Handicapper Cliff Saveall is fairly accurate with his assessments.

Overall Scores; Graham Firth 39, Terry Aston & Trevor Edge 37, John McMorris 35, Bill Toyn 34, Cliff Saveall, John Cooke 33, Denni Price 31 & Peter Hellery 26.

Next week hopefully we will get more of our group along to enjoy as we did today.

Cheers, Terry Aston - Organizer

Friday Eclectic Comp at Ubolrat 28th June 2013

Good rollup this morning at Ubolrat with 12 members in attendance. Super weather helped and with the course in excellent condition all set for an enjoyable day.

John Cooke was back after a short visit to the States and although not to his previous form showed that it will not take long to get there.

John Ward and Terry were neck and neck re points for the months Eclectic comp but until Cliff has checked all results we are not 100% sure who will take the 3 winning spots although John is the favourite.

Winners today though were;

1st 6 holes Deni 12points

2nd Peter Hellery 17 points

3rd John Cooke 13 points

Closest to the Pin: Trevor - Cliff 2 holes - Denni

Overall Peter Hellery with 35 points on count back over Terry also on 35 points.

There has been a suggestion we vary the format and it springs to mind that perhaps a Stroke Round

once a month might be appropriate to be fair to the Lower handicappers among the group.

Appreciate your feedback on this please.
