Udon Golf Report - Ubolratana Dam 29th Nov 2013
A good roll up of 11 of us teed off at Ubolrat this morning. Weather was magnificent and although the fairways were a touch damp overall the course was in good condition.
We played Sixes and had 2 closest to the pin holes on the back nine. One expected good scores on such a pleasant day but surprisingly that was not to be, in fact it was one of the worse scoring days in ages.
Results Sixes- Chuck Mc Cormick won the first two with me claiming the last six. Closest to the Pin holes went to Rex King and John Ward.
I kidded the group pre the round that seeing I was departing the next day they should let me win.
Great guys accommodated my request enabling me to win Overall with 32 points and Cliff Saveall only 1 point behind in second place.

Wonderful weather and the course in ok condition for our round today. Perhaps the fairways could have been cut a touch closer but besides that nothing to complain about. A good rollup of 11 including Swiss Hans formed 3 groups to play Sixes and One Closest to the Pin.

1st Six: Terry Aston 16 points <> 2nd Chuck Mc Cormick 14 points <> 3rd Trevor Edge 12 points.
Overall Winner Trevor Edge 38 points <> Closest to the pin on the 12th Graham Firth

IGA v Chiang Mai - 5th, 6th & 7th Nov 2013
Seven Udon Thani Golf IGA members joined the Isaan team v Chiang Mai at Singha Park for the 3 day event. Overall the Udon golfer's contributed well to the scoring's and enjoyed the event.......The Chiang Mai guys were superb and we look forward to next years event which is held in Chiang Mai........Sorry no photo's as yet

Another super day weather wise at Ubolrat with 10 of us rolling up to tee off at 8 15am.
Course in overall ok condition but some of the greens a work in progress making it difficult at times.
We played Sixes today to give more the opportunity to share in the prize pool.
Winners.
First Six- Chuck Mc Cormick 14 points.
Second Six- Chuck Mc Cormick 15 points.
Third Six – Peter Hellery 13 points.
Closest to the Pin on Par 3‘s Tony Jones & Terry Aston
Overall Winner Chuck Mc Cormick 37 points.
Super effort by Chuck who could have had 38 points except for forgetting he had 2 shots on the 6th.
